Shared real-time rooms
The host opens a room on the big screen; everyone else joins with a room code from their phone. Spins, votes and scores sync to every device the instant they happen.
Case study · Presentation Night
Presentation Night is a free, browser-based party game that hosts PowerPoint and presentation nights for a group of friends. It's not a redesign of anything — we built it from scratch, end to end, as a working web app rather than a brochure site.
The idea
"Presentation nights" are a simple idea: a few friends each give a short, often silly, talk and the group crowns a winner. The fun is real; the admin is not. Someone has to decide the order, keep time, remember the rules and tot up the scores. Presentation Night does all of that for you. One person hosts on a big screen, everyone joins from their phone, and the app runs the night — for four to ten people, in person or over a video call.
What we built
Spin a wheel, draw chaos cards, time the talks, and crown a winner.
The host opens a room on the big screen; everyone else joins with a room code from their phone. Spins, votes and scores sync to every device the instant they happen.
A wheel picks who presents next, so nobody has to volunteer. It takes the awkward “who goes first?” moment out of the room.
Optional twists drawn mid-talk — a curveball rule or challenge that keeps presenters on their toes and the room laughing.
A configurable countdown with a fullscreen TV mode, so each talk stays on the clock and the whole room can see how long is left.
Everyone scores each talk from their own device at the same time. No paper, no shouting over each other, no host tallying by hand.
A live leaderboard through the night, then an animated podium reveal to crown the winner at the end.
Under the hood
A real web app, not a page with a form on it.
No template and no page builder. The whole thing was designed and coded from scratch, which is why it does exactly what the game needs and nothing it doesn't.
Players join a shared room and everything stays in sync — spins, timers, votes and scores update on every screen at once, with no refreshing.
A big-screen host view for the room or the video call, and a phone view for each player. The same session drives both, so setup is about two minutes.
It runs in the browser with nothing to download. It loads quickly, works on a phone, and holds up whether the group is in one room or spread across a video call.
The outcome
A polished, real-time game that's live and free to play right now. It's the kind of thing people assume needs an app store and a team behind it — and it's the proof that when a site needs to actually do something, not just sit there, we can build it.
Booking, tools, real-time features — not just pages. Tell us what you have in mind and we'll show you what it could be.
